Parent Teacher Association

The Parent Teacher Association are a group of parents and staff who usually meet every half term to discuss and organise fun and exciting activities for the children and parents to enjoy at the school.  Every parent is more than welcome to become a member – the more the merrier!  Our main aim is of course, to raise funds to support our primary school and at the moment we are busy trying to raise money for our proposed new school hall.  Each year we arrange the numerous activities for the children to enjoy and occasional events for parents too.  Recently we have organised:

  • School discos
  • A comedy night for parents
  • A Christmas Fayre
  • Sport Day refreshments
  • Cake sales
  • Our fantastic school sweep

The past few years have been very successful with our fundraising and we have managed to purchase the many items for the school.  Examples of these fantastic donations to the school include upgrades to the Reception area, photocopier, playground update, books for library, Christmas presents and varoius class curriculum items.

If you would like to become involved with the PTA or volunteer your help at any of the events, please contact the school office, where your details will be passed to the Chair of our committee.

Here at West Haddon School we’re busy fundraising by collecting old British or foreign coins and notes, even obsolete currency.  Initially you'll see lots of posters around the school as well as the collection bucket. Once all the currency has been collected we send it to  who exchanges it into cash we can use. The bucket will be here all year so keep it coming please.
